Join Elixirr Digital as a Senior Citrix Engineer and help us deliver a major Citrix modernization initiative and transition into Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
As a Senior Citrix Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in implementing the technical components of the migration. You will work closely with our Lead Architect and engineering teams to execute the build, testing, optimization, and rollout activities that ensure a smooth transition into the new environment.
What you will be doing as a Senior Citrix Engineer at Elixirr Digital?
- Supporting the modernization and migration of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops to Azure Virtual Desktop
- Executing hands-on work across Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups, policies, and environment configurations
- Assisting in the transition from legacy profile management tools to FSLogix, including testing and troubleshooting
- Building and maintaining AVD images, ensuring compatibility with business-critical applications
- Collaborating with the infrastructure and cloud teams on networking, identity, and secure access models
- Participating in decommissioning activities with an emphasis on safe and controlled execution
- Troubleshooting user, performance, and infrastructure issues throughout the migration lifecycle
- Preparing documentation and contributing to test cycles and validation processes
Competencies and skillset we expect you to have to successfully perform your job:
- Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops in enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure & Azure Virtual Desktop
- Hands-on expertise with FSLogix and profile management
- Experience in virtual desktop image creation and maintenance
- Familiarity with Citrix ADC/NetScaler
- Working knowledge of VMware or Hyper-V
- Strong troubleshooting skills across the VDI stack
- Previous experience with migration or modernization projects is an advantage
