Join Elixirr Digital as a Lead Citrix Architect and help us design, lead, and deliver a major Citrix modernization and migration initiative into Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
As a Lead Citrix Architect, you will define and oversee the technical vision of the migration program; from assessing the current Citrix landscape to designing the target AVD architecture, shaping user profile migration strategies, and guiding cross-functional engineering teams through implementation. You will ensure that the new environment is reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards, while maintaining minimal disruption for end users.
What you will be doing as a Lead Citrix Architect at Elixirr Digital?
- Designing end-to-end Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops to Azure Virtual Desktop migration architectures
- Leading decommissioning and transition activities across Citrix components such as Delivery Groups, Machine Catalogs, storefront services, and access layers
- Defining user profile migration approaches, including strategy for transitioning from legacy profile management solutions to FSLogix
- Architecting and guiding the creation, optimization, and lifecycle management of AVD images
- Collaborating with cloud, network, infrastructure, and security teams on connectivity, access, identity, and compliance
- Creating migration roadmaps, testing frameworks, validation cycles, and fallback strategies
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the program
- Communicating architectural decisions to stakeholders and supporting program-level planning
Competencies and skillset we expect you to have to successfully perform your job:
- Deep experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops in enterprise-scale environments
- Strong architectural and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure & Azure Virtual Desktop
- Solid experience with FSLogix and enterprise user profile management
- Familiarity with Citrix ADC/NetScaler for gateway and access scenarios
- Strong understanding of image engineering, application layering, and virtual desktop lifecycle management
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V hypervisors
- Ability to lead technical programs and collaborate across cross-functional teams
