Portia Thornhill

Portia is a Partner and Elixirr’s Group General Counsel, bringing over 19 years of legal experience. She has spent her career equally between private practice and in-house roles, advising public companies listed on the FTSE 100 Index, Nasdaq First North and AIM.

She trained at the global law firm now known as A&O Shearman, qualifying into the Projects, Energy & Infrastructure team, where she specialised in the construction and financing of international renewable energy projects.

Portia joined Elixirr’s Legal Team in 2021 as Associate General Counsel and was subsequently promoted to General Counsel as part of the firm’s organic growth strategy.
