Tim Romberger

Tim is the founder and Managing Director of TRC Advisory, where he leads key client engagements and oversees the firm’s governance activities. With more than 30 years of consulting experience, he has worked extensively across manufacturing, distribution and retail. TRC Advisory was acquired by Elixirr in 2025.

He began his career at Marakon in 1993, spending 20 years across the firm’s European and North American offices. In 2014 he left Marakon to establish TRC. Alongside his consulting career, Tim co-founded Cyteir Therapeutics in 2012, a biotech start-up focused on developing therapies for cancer and autoimmune diseases.

Tim has led engagements for global, large-scale and mid-market clients across North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. His work has spanned corporate strategy, profitable growth, organisational re-design and commercial effectiveness. In 2009 he co-authored an article for the Harvard Business Review entitled “Five Rules for Retailing in a Recession.”

Beyond consulting, Tim is an active investor across angel, venture capital, private equity and public markets. He serves on the boards of Cyteir Therapeutics and Sur-Seal, a Heartwood Partners portfolio company. Tim holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of Business.
