Sam Subesinghe

Sam Subesinghe has over 25 years of experience working in the financial services sector across the UK and US. Specialising in leading technology-enabled change, digital transformation, and technology risk management projects, including cloud and cyber, Sam has worked with a broad range of FTSE 100 clients, supporting them with their most critical technology, operations and data projects.

After completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds and Masters at the University of London, Sam began his career at KPMG, working as an analyst within the financial services information risk management department. Sam then worked across a variety of financial services clients with the IT advisory division within KPMG — at one point with Elixirr Founder and CEO Stephen Newton, then principal at KPMG. In his most recent role as partner, UK head of financial services IT audit, Sam led a team of 200 technology specialists spanning over eight offices and was responsible for delivering growth, quality, and innovation across the practice.

Sam is driven by his passion to help businesses implement effective solutions that solve complex challenges. His expertise in financial services, transformation, risk and regulation, as well as assurance is a significant value-driver for a wide range of our clients.

In his spare time, Sam is a keen runner, having completed a few marathons, and a keen golfer who dreams of getting his handicap into single figures one day.
