People Operations Manager

We’re growing fast, and we move fast. Let’s help clients change the game in their industries while we change the game in our own.

People Operations Manager

About us:

Elixirr (www.elixirr.com) is looking for a People Operations Manager to join Elixirr’s Operations team, supporting the Elixirr Group internationally with a focus on payroll and employee equity programmes.

Elixirr International plc is listed on the main market of the London Stock Exchange following its successful IPO in July 2020.

The Elixirr business provides management consultancy services to corporate clients in many jurisdictions including the UK, EU, USA, South Africa, Asia and South America.

Elixirr prides itself on doing things differently and has positioned itself as the Challenger Consultancy. It is expanding its business through inorganic and organic growth. Elixirr has completed eight acquisitions since its IPO and has several potential targets in its acquisition pipeline.

This role is an exciting, hands-on position that will support across a range of day-to-day people operations activities, as well as leading key initiatives across payroll and employee equity programmes. You will work closely with the COO, as well as Finance and HR teams across the Group companies.

Our next people operations superstar will be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail (accuracy matters!)
  • Team player
  • Critical thinker
  • Problem solver
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to adapt and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn!
  • High level of discretion required due to confidential nature of the role

Relevant experience:

  • 5 - 7 years in a similar role or Consulting role
  • Prior experience of working in a client-facing consulting role is highly desirable

What can you expect to be doing:

This role will combine day-to-day operational activities, as well as owning delivery of key strategic operational initiatives.

Examples of key strategic initiatives might include:

  • Roll-out and continuous improvement of Group people operations systems and processes across Group companies
  • Support definition of a global people operating model and drive cross-collaboration initiatives between Group companies
  • Own relationship with payroll providers and lead payroll system/process improvements across multiple entities/geographies
  • Own and enhance our employee equity administration (Employee Share Purchase Plan and Options programme), including platform management and governance
  • Support people due diligence activities for future acquisitions (payroll, employment terms, equity plans)
  • Own elements of post-acquisition people integration to ensure a seamless experience for new joiners (payroll setup, equity onboarding)
  • Conduct research into new geographies to expand our team (employment requirements, payroll feasibility)

Day-to-day operational activities might include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with senior leadership, including the People Operations Lead and COO, to prepare quarterly Partner updates, leadership reporting and board-ready people insights that inform strategic decision-making
  • Own the production, analysis and interpretation of key people metrics across the Group (e.g. headcount, attrition, payroll, equity participation and organisational data), turning data into clear recommendations and actions
  • Lead and oversee monthly payroll delivery across Group entities, ensuring a seamless, compliant and efficient process while identifying opportunities to improve controls, accuracy and employee experience
  • Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders across People, Finance and Operations, providing expert guidance on people operations matters and ensuring alignment across teams and geographies
  • Act as a superuser and product owner for core people systems, shaping the roadmap, driving optimisation and embedding scalable processes that support business growth
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Employee Share Purchase Plan and Options programme, while continuously enhancing the participant experience through clear communication, training and governance
  • Deliver analysis and insight across payroll, workforce and equity data to support business planning, risk management and operational decision-making
  • Partner with Legal and HR to review, evolve and implement people policies and frameworks that are fit for a growing, international listed business
  • Collaborate with the Office Manager and wider Operations team to help create an exceptional employee and guest experience in our office environment
  • Manage key people operations suppliers and contracts, including payroll and benefits providers, ensuring effective governance, value for money and opportunities for simplification or consolidation
  • Identify, prioritise and deliver process improvement initiatives that strengthen controls, increase efficiency and enable the People Operations function to scale with the business
  • Contribute flexibly to the wider People Operations agenda, taking ownership of emerging priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Plus, many other operational tasks!

We firmly believe that entrepreneurialism is a state of mind. This means we hire to an exceptionally high talent bar. Intellect isn’t a differentiator. Being a self-starter, willing to get stuck in and deliver the best possible work is.

We’re building a business together – for ourselves, and for our clients. This is how we make the really difficult stuff happen.

Oh, and by the way, we've been listed as the fastest-growing consulting firm in the UK and the third fastest-growing consulting firm in Europe by the FT. And we're pretty proud of that...

Sound appealing? You’ll fit in well. Apply today. We’d love to meet you.
