Stephen Newton

Stephen founded Elixirr in 2009 with one very clear vision – to build the best consulting firm in the world. After extensive experience working in industry, he became focused on making real change happen in businesses, having experienced first-hand the stagnant approach many large corporate firms took to innovation.

Stephen’s entrepreneurial mindset is apparent throughout the culture of Elixirr, now an award-winning global consultancy. As a leader, he believes in empowering people and driving the company with an ownership attitude – creating a team that wants to be part of building a business, not just working for one.

Prior to starting Elixirr, Stephen had over 25 years of experience in strategy and transformation. Over his career, he has advised the Boards of some of the world’s leading companies across multiple industries.

To date, Elixirr has won over 45 awards and acquired eight founder-led firms, supercharging its broad service offering. 2020 marked an incredible chapter in the firm’s story, as Elixirr listed on AIM on the London Stock Exchange. The firm moved to the Main Market in July 2025.

Stephen’s commitment to creating a firm of entrepreneurs also led him to introduce a best-in-market equity participation scheme – available to all employees, from Analyst through to Partner. Stephen has created a global team of owners, driven by one shared goal: to generate value for clients and, as a result, the firm.
