We’re proud to announce that Elixirr has been named in The Financial Times’ 2023 ‘UK Leading Management Consultants‘ list for our work in the following categories:

  • Strategy
  • Finance, Risk & Compliance
  • Innovation, Growth & New Business Models
  • IT – Strategy
  • Marketing, Brand & Pricing

Our dedicated clients and talented teams make recognitions like this possible, and we thank both for choosing to work with and for a firm that does things differently. Elixirr was founded to bring back the core of why consulting began – to help businesses get and stay ahead – and we’re passionately committed to delivering this value to each and every one of our clients. Such acknowledgment proves we’re on track to transform the industry for good.

Elixirr’s Founder and CEO Stephen Newton commented:

I founded Elixirr as the antidote to traditional consulting – it is our namesake and our ethos as ‘The Challenger Consultancy’. Inclusion on this list is further proof that our proposition is resonating with bold business leaders. We’re unlike other consultancies – we treat our clients’ businesses like they’re our own and deliver results that bring about lasting change.

We’re incredibly proud of this recognition and our team is ready for yet another year of setting new benchmarks with the bold business leaders around the globe.

We’re thrilled to announce we have been named as a finalist in The 2022 Drum Awards for ‘Best B2B Brand Campaign’ for our work on ‘The Con-sultant’.

This campaign and the creative work that went into telling this story is something we are extremely proud of, and we’re honoured to be recognised amongst our fellow nominees, including DHL and Meta.

As a consulting firm of ‘challengers’, we have been on a mission to do things differently from the start – recognising first-hand the unfavourable practices adopted industry-wide. And positioning ourselves differently isn’t limited to the work we do, but also how we market ourselves.

Looking at the campaigns our competitors run, we were eager to bring something unique to our industry’s marketing, or indeed B2B marketing as a whole. Our target audience is bold business leaders – those who take risks to stand out in their industry and who would want to work with a firm that does the same.

When launching ‘The Con-sultant’ in both the UK and US this year, our goal was to stir up conversation in the industry, using humour to satirically highlight the bad stereotypes inundating consultants. And this recognition is a testament to accomplishing just that.

Winners will be announced during The Drum Awards Festival on Monday, December 5.

We’re delighted to announce Elixirr has been recognised by Consulting Magazine as one of the ‘Fastest Growing Firms of 2022’. We’re proud of all we’ve accomplished this year so far, and look forward meeting more milestones in 2023.

Our firm’s growth is driven by a four-pillar model. Three pillars address organic growth, focusing on nurturing and growing our existing team, maximising partner networks, and hiring top talent. The fourth – inorganic – focuses on business acquisitions. As we follow this strategy, expanding our capabilities, entering new geographies and working in new industries, our commitment to our clients is unwavering. This award is a testament to them – the bold business leaders – and the cutting-edge work we’ve achieved together.

Winning this award reaffirms for us that our unique offering is valuable and necessary in the industry. What makes us different is what makes us great.

Winning this award is further confirmation that our challenger offering is the blueprint to our success. Growth is incredibly exciting because it means we can deliver bigger and better for our clients and help bold business leaders around the globe disrupt their markets. This year in particular, with our most recent and largest acquisition to date – iOLAP – and new partner hires in Jersey and Australia, we’ve seen real, tangible growth into geographies across the globe.

I started this firm with the goal to be the best consultancy in the world, and milestones like these prove to me we’re well and truly on our way. Bring on 2023!

We’re delighted to announce that Oliver Bishop and Rory Farquharson have been selected for Consulting Magazine’s ‘Rising Stars of the Profession’. This achievement recognises those who are actively working to redefine the industry and is a true testament to Elixirr being a firm of disruptors. Our people are fearless trailblazers and relentless in their ambition to solve big boardroom issues.

Oliver is the firm’s first ever to work his way up from Analyst through to Partner. His quick progression through the grades highlights his deep expertise in both consulting, and more recently M&A; he currently leads our acquisitions team. Oliver has been selected as a ‘Rising Stars: Ones to Watch’ and has been honoured in the category of Excellence in Strategy Consulting.

Rory is a Principal at the firm who has been selected as a ‘Rising Star’ for 2022, also honoured in the Excellence in Strategy Consulting category. His leadership scaling up our US business over the past five years – now 50 times the size it was before he moved there – indicates his passion for growing a world-class business. Rory credits his achievements to understanding the risks and rewards involved with building a new business – a true entrepreneur.

Oliver commented:

Being in a professional environment that encourages individuals to act like entrepreneurs has been key to my achievements. I’m very thankful for the platform that Elixirr has given me. Elixirr both enables and encourages you to progress at the same rate that they grow, taking on maximum responsibility and carving out individual opportunities – regardless of grade – to add value to clients, the business and consequently yourself.

Rory commented:

I’m delighted to be selected for this award, which I see as recognising both my role in delivering strategies for our clients but also helping deliver Elixirr’s own strategy. Elixirr’s culture is grounded in entrepreneurialism, and the journey that I have been able to create with Elixirr, across our geographies and especially for our US business, is a testament to that culture. This award would have been impossible without the energy, commitment and brilliance of the teams I’ve been able to work with over the years, and I’m excited about what we as a firm will be able to achieve in the coming years.

Stephen Newton commented:

Oliver and Rory, like the rest of our team, don’t simply do the job — they exceed expectations, and are totally invested in making a real impact for our clients. I’m very proud of this recognition. We invest in our entrepreneurial people deeply, giving them the opportunities to drive their own careers and #makeshithappen. Congratulations to both!

We’re delighted to announce that Stephen Newton, our Founder & CEO, has been recognised as a 2021 Global Leader in Consulting by Consulting Magazine. The 2021 list features 27 honourees from leading consulting firms, with Stephen accredited for ‘Excellence in Execution’. This is Stephen’s second Global Leaders in Consulting Award after appearing on the list in 2019 for ‘Excellence in Influence’.

Global Leaders in Consulting is an international award hosted by Consulting Magazine. The award honours individuals who have displayed outstanding leadership qualities and who exert extraordinary influence in their firms, for their clients, and over the entire consulting profession. The award is held in high esteem throughout the industry, making it a proud achievement for Stephen and our firm.

Stephen commented,

“Thank you to Consulting Magazine for this recognition. I’m particularly pleased to have been recognised for ‘Excellence in Execution’ after what has been a challenging yet rewarding year for our business and our clients. Despite the adverse conditions of the pandemic, this past year has seen us IPO with AIM on the London Stock Exchange, acquire two boutique businesses, and release our first set of annual results, reporting excellent growth. I couldn’t have achieved these milestones without my remarkable team. They work to impeccable standards and I take constant inspiration from their resilience, entrepreneurialism and drive. They are responsible for the success of our firm in the past year, and have truly earned this award. We really are building the best consulting firm in the world. Thank you again to the judges, and well done to my team!”

Stephen’s recognition as a 2021 Global Leader in Consulting comes off the back of a week of exciting news for our firm. We announced our excellent 2020 Annual Results, welcomed Retearn, a boutique procurement, transformation and insights consultancy, to our House of Brands, and launched our dynamic new brand fit to realise the ambitions of the Challenger Consultancy. This global award is also especially relevant as Elixirr expands its international reach. Our US business is growing with the addition of three new partners in 2021, and US revenue up 49% year-on-year, in addition to expanding our Australian business.

Elixirr’s exceptional growth is the product of Stephen’s passionate leadership, making this recognition a fitting round-up to a successful year. Congratulations Stephen!

We’re delighted to be nominated as finalists at this year’s Drum B2B Awards for Digital Transformation Initiative of the Year. As a firm that places innovation and digitisation at the forefront of our business, we’re very pleased to have the work with one of our incredible clients recognised, alongside other such impressive brands.

We have always helped our clients understand the key role that digital technology plays in driving growth and customer experiences, as well as tackling operational inefficiencies. We combine that with our expertise in strategy, data and design to deliver end-to-end solutions that directly address these challenges. Our team, including creative agency Den, an Elixirr company, have a wealth of experience in delivering digital transformations, and this nomination only reinforces the strength of this capability.

This award recognises the work we have done with Apex Group, a global financial solutions provider. Apex Group engaged us to solve some of their internal and external challenges around onboarding new clients. Not being content with anything in the market, our team designed and built a bespoke digital solution which transformed their onboarding process. This process was completed in under five months and is now used by their clients worldwide.

Anthony Potter, Partner at Elixirr, said:

This nomination really reflects the value we place on digitisation as a means to transform our clients’ businesses. Innovation is at the heart of everything we do. We’ve worked with Apex to deliver something unique that both enhances client experience and delivers real internal efficiency. This is a great example of how we combine the best capabilities and solutions the market has to offer to facilitate our clients’ digital transformation. We’re absolutely thrilled to have been recognised as finalists for this work. It reflects the skills and expertise of our people and the trust our clients place in us. Congratulations team!

We’re extremely proud of this nomination and would like to thank The Drum for recognising our work.

David Rhydderch, Global Head of Financial Solutions at Apex Group Ltd said:

In just five months we have worked with Elixirr to build and design a digital solution that has transformed our onboarding process and ultimately redefined our position in the market; reducing the account opening timeframe for our clients from weeks to just days. This is a solution that none of our competitors are able to offer and reflects the quality, professionalism and rigour of Elixirr’s work. They have been a great partner for us and making the shortlist for this award is well deserved.

We look forward to the virtual ceremony on 19th November 2020, where the winners will be announced. Watch this space… #MSH
