We’re thrilled to announce we have been named as a finalist in The 2022 Drum Awards for ‘Best B2B Brand Campaign’ for our work on ‘The Con-sultant’.

This campaign and the creative work that went into telling this story is something we are extremely proud of, and we’re honoured to be recognised amongst our fellow nominees, including DHL and Meta. 

As a consulting firm of ‘challengers’, we have been on a mission to do things differently from the start – recognising first-hand the unfavourable practices adopted industry-wide. And positioning ourselves differently isn’t limited to the work we do, but also how we market ourselves. 

Looking at the campaigns our competitors run, we were eager to bring something unique to our industry’s marketing, or indeed B2B marketing as a whole. Our target audience is bold business leaders – those who take risks to stand out in their industry and who would want to work with a firm that does the same. 

When launching ‘The Con-sultant’ in both the UK and US this year, our goal was to stir up conversation in the industry, using humour to satirically highlight the bad stereotypes inundating consultants. And this recognition is a testament to accomplishing just that. 

Winners will be announced during The Drum Awards Festival on Monday, December 5.

We’re delighted to announce that Oliver Bishop and Rory Farquharson have been selected for Consulting Magazine’s ‘Rising Stars of the Profession’. This achievement recognises those who are actively working to redefine the industry and is a true testament to Elixirr being a firm of disruptors. Our people are fearless trailblazers and relentless in their ambition to solve big boardroom issues. 

Oliver is the firm’s first ever to work his way up from Analyst through to Partner. His quick progression through the grades highlights his deep expertise in both consulting, and more recently M&A; he currently leads our acquisitions team. Oliver has been selected as a ‘Rising Stars: Ones to Watch’ and has been honoured in the category of Excellence in Strategy Consulting.

Rory is a Principal at the firm who has been selected as a ‘Rising Star’ for 2022, also honoured in the Excellence in Strategy Consulting category. His leadership scaling up our US business over the past five years – now 50 times the size it was before he moved there – indicates his passion for growing a world-class business. Rory credits his achievements to understanding the risks and rewards involved with building a new business – a true entrepreneur.

We’re delighted to announce that Stephen Newton, our Founder & CEO, has been recognised as a 2021 Global Leader in Consulting by Consulting Magazine. The 2021 list features 27 honourees from leading consulting firms, with Stephen accredited for ‘Excellence in Execution’. This is Stephen’s second Global Leaders in Consulting Award after appearing on the list in 2019 for ‘Excellence in Influence’.

Global Leaders in Consulting is an international award hosted by Consulting Magazine. The award honours individuals who have displayed outstanding leadership qualities and who exert extraordinary influence in their firms, for their clients, and over the entire consulting profession. The award is held in high esteem throughout the industry, making it a proud achievement for Stephen and our firm.

Stephen’s recognition as a 2021 Global Leader in Consulting comes off the back of a week of exciting news for our firm. We announced our excellent 2020 Annual Results, welcomed Retearn, a boutique procurement, transformation and insights consultancy, to our House of Brands, and launched our dynamic new brand fit to realise the ambitions of the Challenger Consultancy. This global award is also especially relevant as Elixirr expands its international reach. Our US business is growing with the addition of three new partners in 2021, and US revenue up 49% year-on-year, in addition to expanding our Australian business.

Our now award-winning work with global financial services provider Apex Group showcases our digital and design capabilities. Our team of talented consultants, alongside Den Creative, an Elixirr company, designed and built a digital onboarding solution for institutional clients for Apex Group in only five months, employing Elixirr’s rapid prototyping and design expertise. The end-to-end solution has transformed client onboarding times at Apex Group, from weeks to just five days, providing them with a competitive advantage in the market and facilitating an improved client experience.
