Claire Bergkamp joined Stella McCartney in 2012. During her tenure at Stella McCartney, Claire has helped establish the brand’s leadership and reputation in sustainability. She is a part of the senior leadership team and leads a global team of sustainability professionals in implementation of the brand's sustainability initiatives. Claire has developed and continues to develop the brand's robust environmental and social improvement strategy, which focuses on full value chain transformation from farm to finished product. She is also responsible for brand innovation strategy.
Claire graduated with a distinction from the London College of Fashion with a Master of Arts in Fashion Entrepreneurship and was awarded the Management School MA graduation prize for her dissertation on the scalability of ‘upcycling’. She also holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design Technology from Emerson College in Boston. She is a returning guest lecturer at Harvard, London College of Fashion, Central Saint Martins as well as other universities in Europe, the US and the UK.
