Here&#8217;s what happened\u2026<\/p>\n<p>In 2016 Southampton FC published a new 5-year strategy to transform the club. One of these pillars centered around providing information to the right people when they wanted it. They were looking to promote better informed decision-making and drive innovation and growth in line with their long-term business strategy.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <\/div>            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section\n    class=\"wp-block-banner edwp-block layout--none bg--secondary wp-block-banner--content-right\"\n    >\n    <div class=\"container wp-block-banner__container\">\n        <div class=\"edwp-component edwp-fade-in wp-block-banner__content\">\n            <h2 class=\"wp-component-heading wp-component-content__title text--h1\">\n    The approach<\/h2>                <div class=\"wp-component-content__content wp-component-content__content--cols-1 wysiwyg\">\n                            <div class=\"wp-component-content__column\">\n                    <p>We were asked to facilitate the development of the case for change, where we assessed Southampton FC\u2019s current state and ensured the proposed target state was aligned to their clear vision and strategy. This included understanding and articulating the pain points and potential barriers. We then proposed recommendations that would enable them to overcome these and empower them to deliver their vision.<\/p>\n<p>Existing systems and processes were identified as one of the main barriers to delivering insight. We worked in close partnership with key stakeholders from Southampton FC\u2019s Finance, HR, Procurement and Payroll teams to scope and deliver a project that specified, selected and mobilized a replacement back office solution. We painted a picture of what the new KPIs could look like and proposed how the information could be presented using dashboard prototypes.<\/p>\n<p>Once this was agreed, we applied our award-winning\u00a0<em>Collaborative Solutioning<\/em>\u00a0approach to solution specification, selection and contract negotiation to support them through the end-to-end selection process. The result was successful negotiation of the right contract for a new SaaS cloud back office ERP system and the systems implementation partner.<\/p>\n<p>We designed the PMO framework to mobilize the project and created project assurance frameworks to enable ongoing quality assurance to ensure it\u2019s success\u2026<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n                    <\/div>            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section\n    class=\"wp-block-banner edwp-block layout--spacing-y bg--secondary wp-block-banner--content-right\"\n    >\n    <div class=\"container wp-block-banner__container\">\n        <div class=\"edwp-component edwp-fade-in wp-block-banner__content\">\n            <h2 class=\"wp-component-heading wp-component-content__title text--h1\">\n    The value delivered<\/h2>                <div class=\"wp-component-content__content wp-component-content__content--cols-1 wysiwyg\">\n                            <div class=\"wp-component-content__column\">\n                    <p>Following a 9 month implementation effort, the club has now gone live with the Workday solution across Finance, HR, Procurement and Payroll.
