This helped set expectations clearly while giving patients control over how they wanted to interact.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">A knowledge base was then built from approved clinic brochures,\u00a0FAQs\u00a0and documents, creating\u00a0a single source\u00a0of truth for the assistant. This ensured responses stayed grounded in curated practice materials rather than unsupported information.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Our team implemented two large language models: one to manage orchestration and guardrails, and another to respond in the surgeon\u2019s tone. This allowed the assistant to keep answers\u00a0accurate\u00a0and compassionate while\u00a0maintaining\u00a0the clinical boundaries needed for patient education.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The experience also integrated speech-to-text, text-to-speech\u00a0and a\u00a0HeyGen\u00a0video avatar, enabling patients to speak to the digital twin and receive video replies.
