As a Junior Data Engineer, you’ll learn how to prepare, organize, and ensure the quality of data under the guidance of experienced team members. What you will be doing as a Junior Data Engineer at Elixirr Digital?
- Supporting senior data engineers in building and maintaining data pipelines and systems
- Assisting with data ingestion, transformation, and integration from various sources
- Learning to work with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or IBM Cloud
- Writing and optimizing basic SQL queries and scripts for data access and reporting
- Helping ensure data quality, reliability, and security across projects
- Collaborating with data architects, analysts, and scientists to deliver insights
- Participating in testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities
Competencies and skillset we expect you to have to successfully perform your job:
- Some experience in Python for data processing
- Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) cloud data services (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Understanding of basic data engineering or software development principles
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and contribute to a collaborative team
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
