Leveraging multiple partners to accelerate this deployment, the data solution followed a variety of methodologies and adherence to best practices resulting in complex system to operate and enhance. The solution covers analytic solutions from franchisee users through executives across every data asset within the organisation. The technology landscape covers AWS, Redshift, Talend, IICS, MicroStrategy, Tableau, PowerBI, YellowfinBI and various serverless data processing architectures. Our initial challenges included: • The backlog of software to update and bring in licensing compliance • Inefficient and error-prone data pipelines • Lack of visibility into workload based spend and cost optimisation abilities The Approach Firstly, we established a core service desk to triage and route incidents to the appropriate resolver group. This approach led to optimisation of workforce and faster resolutions. As new technologies and workloads entered the ecosystem, we scaled our support team to absorb these changes while optimising our support processes to achieve a cost-neutral change.
