Role Purpose We are looking for a diligent financial accountant to support the finance team in providing accurate and timely financial reporting and processing of transactions. Key Responsibilities Transaction and journal processing Processing invoices / credit notes and liaising with Partners to ensure correct invoicing and revenue recognition Assisting with the timely and accurate monthly/annual financial reporting, both internal management reporting and statutory reporting, including (but not limited to): Balance sheet reconciliations Cash posting and bank reconciliations Accruals and prepayments Reconciliation of intercompany accounts Reconciliation of expenses Salary journals and reconciliations Explanation of variances in cost compared to prior month and budget Maintaining the fixed asset register (new additions, disposing of assets and monthly depreciation) Set up weekly payment runs and manage vendor payments Management of accounts payable and receivable Assist in preparation of the quarterly VAT returns Assist in preparing the annual statutory accounts in accordance with the relevant accounting principles and legislation and assisting with statutory audits to ensure they are completed on a timely basis Actively contribute to improvement of processes and the Group’s internal control environment Participation in and support on various business improvement projects as required Adhoc finance support Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications: Required: Advanced Excel skills At least 1 years’ finance work experience Desirable: Accounting/Finance degree Knowledge of Sage Intacct Knowledge of technical accounting (UK GAAP and IFRS) Experience of statutory and audit processes Previous consulting experience Personal Attributes An entrepreneur at heart; always restless, always looking for opportunities to grow Ability to think in a structured way, and clearly communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences Good analytical, financial and problem-solving skills Good attention to detail, stay organised and able to “see the big picture” Flexible, able to multitask and work to achieve tight deadlines Exhibit excellent professional ethics Self-aware, embrace feedback and strive for continual improvement Great at managing multiple stakeholders A growth mindset; for yourself, those around you, and the organisations you’re a part of Team player and collaborator who recognises the whole is greater than the sum of its parts Comfortable working under a high level of uncertainty Easy to work within a fun, ever-changing, fast-paced environment How we’ll reward you: Competitive salary ACCA/CIMA study benefits Gifted share options in the business Discounted share purchase scheme Discretionary performance related bonus Pension Aviva Health Insurance (Health, Dental & Optical) Cycle to work scheme Apply
