Like all firms, we collaborated on platforms like Teams, Miro, Google Hangouts, Slack and Zoom; but it wasn’t the same. Walking the talk

There were no offerings in the market offering an end to end solution to bring our team back together, so we stopped talking and started building. Our internal team put on our consulting hats, devised the employee journey and partnered with a few great companies to create a capability that would facilitate in-person collaboration for our team in a safer, healthier way. And now we can help your teams too.

Our office at 100 Cheapside is very special to us. It’s our global headquarters, it’s where we fly our whole team into once a year to get together in person and it was vital that we could get back into that creative space for our people and our work.

We trust our people, so we knew we had to build a platform that would ensure our team could make their own decisions about their health and wellbeing when choosing to return to the office. We didn’t want our team feeling like we were keeping tabs on them, so privacy was of the upmost importance when building a solution that would work not only for us, but one we would be proud to recommend to our clients too. We also wanted the fewest number of components that offered the most amount of impact. Function is great, but the environment still needed to feel welcoming. We wanted to keep our culture and not succumb to some dystopian nightmare.

With the combination of our consulting expertise and our in-house development team, Den, we knew we could provide a solution to get our team back to the office in a safe way for all. The idea of a health passport isn’t new but leveraging it for COVID-19, whilst making sure it was completely secure and private, was the challenge; thus, we utilized the GetChkd blockchain based Health Passport – which not only secured the employee data in a super secure way, it also integrated with the hardware and software needed for this solution. The GetChkd Health Passport ensures no sensitive employee information touches the company servers, to ensure privacy for our team.

Over the course of 3 months, we built a pilot of our end-to-end solution: Indaba. Indaba combines our consulting expertise, software, hardware and physical equipment. We have now managed to onboard our entire UK team and are fully seeing the benefits of in-person collaboration. Our people have told us that being in the office again, and not only confined to their homes, has had a positive impact on their work and their physical and mental health too. In general they are much happier.
