Following significant change in the business to streamline their processes and align them to support effective future growth, our client was looking at transforming its IT organisation in order to ensure it was aligned to the new technology-led business model. This transformation impacted the IT organisation’s people, systems and processes and required a robust change management and communications approach to achieve buy-in from staff and management and help ensure the successful delivery of the change programme.
We were engaged to drive effective change management and communications during the IT transformation journey. This included defining a clear vision for the future IT organisation, conducting robust stakeholder analysis and developing engagement plans to ensure key stakeholder alignment and buy-in, identifying and deploying suitable communication channels and using change champions to consolidate support and buy-in. We also provided support in managing the relationship with our client’s third party IT service provider, ensuring their role was clearly communicated and driving the integration of their resources within existing client teams.
The successful delivery of the change management and communications programme as part of the IT transformation journey helped to ensure that our client is able to meet cost saving targets that have been set by the board. It will also ensure that the IT organisation is well positioned to face future challenges and that employees are engaged and bought in to the new IT strategy that will drive business growth.
